WP User Moderation : Verion 0.5 release
Announcements, Plugins December 6th, 2007Title says it all!. We are glad to annouce the release of version 0.5 of the plugin.
Whats done in this Release :
1. Now you can specify the Display Name to the email address which is sent to user upon the appoval. Previously only option was provided to specify the email address.
2. Also you can specify the Display Name to the email address which is sent to User Moderator. Previously only option was provided to specify the email address.
3. We have also added the email bodies (both the email bodies) and Update Options to POT file so it can be translated to any language.
4. Added the “userid” buildin variables, which can be used as ##userid## in your email bodies so that your moderator mails can be generated with direct approval/discard links
NOTE : All these features are added as per our users request you can see in WP User Moderation comments section.

Hey guys… I love this plugin… but I’ve tried Bouncer and this one and it still seems odd to me that no one has allowed editors the option of having access to pending registrations. In larger companies where they have in-house administrators might be what you have in mind, but I manage several wordpress installs for small businesses and I am the only Administrator since no one on their staff is capable of the tech stuff. So, I’d love for this plugin to give you the option to let any user with the “editor” role access to manage pending registrations… thoughts?

Chris, Accepted, this feature can be added. We will look into this and make a new release once this feature is available.

Currently Menu tab “Users” is visible only to Administrators.
#1 So if we need to provide this option under Main menu Users link then we should make this whole Main Users menu available to editor role.
#2 Another option is that we can provide a option to switch the Pending registration as submenu under “Users” main menu or make this Pending registration as Main menu itself.
Its easy to go with option #2. any thoughts?
