Title says it all!. We are glad to annouce the release of version 0.4 of the plugin.

Whats done in this Release :
1. Included First and Last names as part of Pending Registration.
2. French Translation is done by Matthias Hawran. Thanks for his effort.

We are glad to release our new Plugin WP User Manager. Technically this plugin will match the features of “cimy-user-extra-fields” wordpress plugin. However this plugin manages the user meta details using the usermeta table itself, but cimy plugin uses a seperate table.

Also our plugin allows to control the existing meta data to be part of User Registration, if we are correct cimy extra fields plugin doesn’t support this feature. Update : cimy extra fields plugins supports hidden fields as well from version 1.0.0

Basically this Plugin aims at improving the Wordpress User Management so that Wordpress can be used beyond blog and something like a CMS too. It allows to add more meta data (extra Fields) to users. Also these extra meta fields or already existing meta data such as last name, first name , yahoo, aim, jabber and description user meta data to be part of the user registration form.

Also this plugin will allow admins and users to manage the extra fields from the admin panel.

Provision to delete the User Field, when Field is deleted all the data associated with the User Fields will be deleted. Only Admin can perform this action.

How it works

Once you activate this plugin, it adds a Tab to Menu “UserFields”. This has got sub menu such as “Add Field” & “Edit Field”.

You can see that already fields “last name, first name , yahoo, aim, jabber and description ” are available to manage.

Also here last name and first name are chosen to be part of user registration to your website. If you don’t want them to be part of user registration you can disable them by editing fields first name and last name using “Edit Option” under “UserFields->Edit Field”

Title says it all!. We are glad to annouce the release of version 0.3 of the plugin.

Whats done in this Release :
1. Fixed the Plugin filename, there was a “a” missing and its corrected, as well we moved our plugin to a directory “wp-user-moderation”, inorder to support multiple languages.
2. Support for customizable Emails. Yes, it allows the mail to user/Admin customized as per your requirement.

Attention for Users of WP User Moderation Plugin version 0.1 and 0.2

Due to the above mention change #1, You will see that WP User Moderation Plugin will be seen twice on your Plugin Page
once with version 0.2 and again
with version 0.3.

So Before Activating this Plugin, Please deactivate the Earlier version of Plugin.

this version supports the email notification of the pending user moderation.

By default this is email notification is not enabled. If you want it then go to Users -> Pending Registration and enable the email activation.

WP User Moderation is a Wordpress Plugin that helps to moderate and approve the Wordpress User Account generation.

This Plugin can be used by anyone who wants to control the registrations to their website.

How it Works:

When this Plugin is enabled, whenever user register for a account following happens.

1. This plugin blocks the confirmation mail to user till the account creation is approved by the Admin.

2.  It gives the following message “Thanks for Registering & You will receive an email once your account is approved!” to user who tries to register at your site.

3. When account is enabled, mail will be send to the user with account details.

Whats done in this Release :

1. Now you can specify the Display Name to the email address which is sent to user upon the appoval. Previously only option was provided to specify the email address.
2. Also you can specify the Display Name to the email address which is sent to User Moderator. Previously only option was provided to specify the email address.
3. We have also added the email bodies (both the email bodies) and Update Options to POT file so it can be translated to any language.
4. Added the “userid” buildin variables, which can be used as ##userid## in your email bodies so that your moderator mails can be generated with direct approval/discard links
